Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa – LNY PMCREN (Courtyard at Encanto) in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker (ML - Manual Labor). The role covers day-to-day property maintenance across plumbing, electrical, pool upkeep, and groundskeeping, with apartment turnover.

You will help ensure safe, functional, and welcoming properties for residents and tenants. This hands-on position requires a proactive, reliable individual with basic tools and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months of demonstrated experience and skills in multiple maintenance and apartment property management areas including, but not limited to construction, general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, groundskeeping, and carpentry.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools commonly associated with construction, maintenance, and landscaping.
• HVAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

You may also be assigned additional tasks to support our projects and operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months of demonstrated experience and skills in multiple maintenance and apartment property management areas including, but not limited to construction, general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, groundskeeping, and carpentry.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools commonly associated with construction, maintenance, and landscaping.

Other Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Commitment to serving diverse, multiethnic, and low-income communities.
• Must possess and maintain a personal set of basic hand tools (per company policy).
• Must have access to a phone for participation in the on-call rotation.
