Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support property upkeep across our Arizona properties. You will tackle plumbing, electrical, pool upkeep, groundskeeping, and apartment turnover, ensuring safety and comfort for residents.

This role rewards reliability and practical problem solving in a fast-paced environment, with on-call rotation and opportunities to contribute to diverse, multi-ethnic communities served by CPLC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months of demonstrated experience in multiple maintenance areas including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools commonly associated with construction, maintenance, and landscaping.
• HVAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend day-to-day maintenance across multiple fields including plumbing, electrical, pool upkeep, groundskeeping, and apartment turnover.
• Ensure properties are safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and tenants.
• Write routine reports and communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

You will attend to day-to-day functions across multiple fields of property maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, pool upkeep, groundskeeping, and apartment turnover. You may also be assigned additional tasks to support our projects and operations. Your work ensures that our properties are safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and tenants, directly impacting the communities we serve.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

Education/Background:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months of demonstrated experience and skills in multiple maintenance and apartment property management areas including, but not limited to construction, general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, groundskeeping, and carpentry.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools commonly associated with construction, maintenance, and landscaping.
• HVAC certification preferred.

Other Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Commitment to serving diverse, multiethnic, and low-income communities.
• Must possess and maintain a personal set of basic hand tools (per company policy).
• Must have access to a phone for participation in the on-call rotation.
