Job summary

Prime Group Holdings, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Newark-area properties. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC tasks and general upkeep to maintain safe, clean facilities. Work Mon-Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with potential for on-call emergency work as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and a customer-service oriented mindset. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

• Performs minor electrical maintenance.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to perform HVAC filter changes.
• Performs general construction such as painting, carpentry in connection with smaller tenant improvement projects, or general maintenance of property.
• Performs janitorial maintenance which may include cleaning rooms, common hallways, common restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots and other work areas, as well as trash removal throughout the property.
• Performs grounds work / landscaping.
• Snow removal.
• Assist with third party vendor access and coordination.
• May be required to respond to emergency maintenance situations.
• May be required to be on call after-hours for emergency or snow removal efforts.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
• Follows all safety and OSHA related policies.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and have a “can-do” attitude.
• Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
• Ability to use common tools.
• Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, use sound judgement and effectively management time and job responsibilities
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• VALID DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED.
