I-77 Mobility Partners LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain highway equipment and facilities along the I-77 Express Lanes corridor between uptown Charlotte and Mooresville. You will work with Maintenance Supervisors and may supervise others, guiding less experienced staff as needed.
Responsibilities include operating tractors, mowers, sweepers, bucket trucks, and TMA units; inspecting and repairing equipment; performing general maintenance and building tasks; and
I-77 Mobility Partners LLC is financing, developing, designing, constructing, operating and maintaining the 26-mile I-77 Express project as part of a public-private partnership with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The tolled express lanes run adjacent to the general-purpose lanes on I-77 between uptown Charlotte and Mooresville. I-77 Mobility Partners is responsible for operations and maintenance of all lanes, both express and general purpose, and right of way within the designated project corridor limits. As the Maintenance Technician, you will operate automotive and maintenance equipment to transport material, equipment and maintenance personnel as well as performing skilled highway maintenance duties. You'll participate in the maintenance of buildings, work with maintenance personnel receiving assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager, and on occasions supervise personnel on various job assignments. You will guide and/or train less experienced personnel on equipment operation and roadway maintenance.

I-77 wants to ensure that all of their employees are comfortable and able to work in the type of culture and environment we have built our business on. As a maintenance technician you must have the ability and willingness to work alternate work schedules, including weekends and night shifts and be assigned to a scheduled shift as needed. You may be required to work off hours on a regularly scheduled basis. You will be working on the roadway, the noise level ranges from moderate to high given that the employee will be working around heavy machinery and in traffic conditions. You must be able to individually lift and/or move up to 80 lbs. You will be frequently required to stand, walk, climb, drive and sit for long periods of time during day and night operation. There will be some roadway travel required. During the seasons, you will be required to mow grass, weed-eat and pick up debris for up to 12 hours. Finally, you must be able to work in high places and in any weather condition. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
