Job summary

I-77 Mobility Partners LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for day shifts to operate maintenance equipment and support highway and building upkeep along the I-77 Express Lanes project in the Charlotte area. You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager, guiding less experienced staff as needed.

Responsibilities include driving heavy equipment, inspecting and repairing gear, performing various maintenance tasks, and assisting with traffic control and roadside services.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License; CDL is not required but the ability to obtain one in the future is a plus.
  • 0-3+ years of experience in general roadway maintenance, traffic control, and traffic management is desired.
  • Previous experience with construction vehicles is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors, mowers, sweepers, bucket trucks and Truck Mounted Attenuators (TMA’s) and use tools to complete daily assignments.
  • Inspect equipment for proper operating condition, perform minor repairs or adjustments, lubricate and assist in making repairs.
  • Perform miscellaneous skilled maintenance on the I-77 Express Lanes Project as required.
  • Perform general traffic control, pavement repair, landscaping, painting, and barrier repairs; available on-call after hours for emergencies.
  • Respond to traffic incidents and provide roadside assistance to motorists; on-call after hours for emergencies.
  • Perform miscellaneous building maintenance as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Also, participates in the maintenance of buildings. Works with maintenance personnel receives assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager, and on occasions supervises personnel on various job assignments. You will guide and/or train less experienced personnel on equipment operation and roadway maintenance.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Operates assigned automotive equipment and construction equipment such as tractors, mowers, sweepers, bucket trucks and Truck Mounted Attenuators (TMA’s), and operate assigned gas or hand tools to complete Daily Assignments* Inspects equipment for proper operating condition, makes minor repairs or adjustments, lubricates and assists in making repairs as required* Performs miscellaneous skilled maintenance on the I-77 Express Lanes Project as required.* Performs miscellaneous duties, such as general traffic control, pavement repair, landscaping, painting, , miscellaneous barrier repairs, and available on-call after hours for emergency maintenance service, as needed* Responds to traffic incidents, provides roadside assistance to motorists on I-77 between uptown Charlotte and Mooresville and available on-call after hours for emergency incident response, as needed* Performs miscellaneous building maintenance as required* Any other job duties as assigned**Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
