Job summary

Fortis Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Leo Myrtle Beach, a 55+ community. The role supports the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor in daily upkeep, resident care, and service excellence.

You will work with leasing agents, maintenance staff, and supervisors to manage work orders, turns, and on‑call duties while upholding Fortis policies and safety standards. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of maintenance experience, EPA certification, own tools, and

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years of property maintenance experience.
EPA Certification required.
CPO Certification preferred.
Must have own tools.
Basic computer skills; experience with Yardi or other PM software preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining the community to support leasing goals and resident care.
Collaborate with leasing team, maintenance staff, groundskeepers, and supervisor on property tasks.
Walk the community daily to identify repairs and note needed improvements.
Ensure work orders are completed promptly and accurately.
Provide same‑day service on work orders and participate in on‑call rotation as scheduled.
Assist in maintaining the maintenance shop and inventory.
