Job summary

Eagle Rock Properties in West Springfield, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the appearance and working order of apartments, exteriors, and common areas. Under supervision of the Property Manager, you will handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs with strong resident service mindset.

Responsibilities include make-ready turnover, preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and weekend/on-call duties to support property operations and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in trades, facilities, or residential building maintenance.
• Strong leadership aptitude and preferred experience.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA, and MSDS.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades, and appliance repair.
• Basic carpentry, drywall, and painting skills.
• Safety-minded with attention to detail.
• Builder's mentality and problem-solving approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and ability to handle emergency on-call.
• Ability to exert physical effort and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Showing care for residents via timely follow-ups and meticulous completion of service tickets.
• Resolving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair issues.
• Managing make-ready and turnover to lease apartments quickly and accurately.
• Pursuing preventative maintenance to preserve building value.
• Maintaining building beauty and safety through upkeep, snow removal, and grounds care.
• Maintaining peak efficiency of all property components.
• Adhering to building, county, and safety codes, ensuring accident-free operation.
• Working weekends and participating in emergency on-call rotation.
