Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician for the Sierra Distribution Center in Ashville, AL. The role requires hands-on skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and related trades, plus the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot complex equipment.

You will work with minimal supervision, handle on-call issues, and help maintain continuous operation of our distribution center to support TJX’s off-price retail network.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Able to work with little supervision or unsupervised at times.
• Knowledgeable in small repairs and advanced technical skills.
• Carpentry skills.
• Must be flexible and able to multi-task as projects are interrupted by priorities.
• Prior experience in the maintenance field mandatory.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.
• Capable of understanding what needs to be done and doing it quickly.
• Must be clean, organized and tidy.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Fabricate materials and build items.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Able to use a multimeter to check circuits.
• Capable of handling on call issues and respond to them.
