The TJX Companies, Inc. at the Sierra Fulfillment Center in Cheyenne, WY, seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform advanced electrical, HVAC and systems upkeep.

You will inspect, troubleshoot and repair machines, lead safety initiatives, maintain logs, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.

A trade-school apprenticeship and 4+ years of hands-on experience are preferred; willingness to work varying shifts supports business needs.

Qualifications

• Trade school with completion of a formal apprenticeship program.
• 4+ years of experience in installation, maintenance and repair of equipment including mechanical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure proper functioning of facility equipment and systems.
• Test, inspect, troubleshoot and repair machines and systems, interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Lead safety procedures, guide associates, and implement improvements to equipment and procedures as appropriate.
• Oversee logs, estimate costs, prepare requisitions and coordinate with vendors for parts and service.
• Handle special projects and provide day‑to‑day guidance to associates as required.

Job Summary

Performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades requiring advanced specialized knowledge (e.g., electrical, HVAC, etc.). Tests, inspects, troubleshoots and repairs machines, equipment and/or systems. Conducts a variety of complex installation and maintenance work to prevent breakdowns and ensure proper functioning of facility, machinery, equipment and applicable systems.

Requirements

• Conveyor experience 1+ years required.
• Maintains safe, efficient and proper operation of a variety of Distribution Center equipment and systems.
• Tests, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs. Interprets blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings and specifications.
• Leads and guides other associates in safety procedures, installations and maintenance.
• Recommends and implements improvements to equipment, operations and procedures as appropriate.
• Oversees and maintains repair, inventory and maintenance logs. Estimates costs, prepares requisitions and contacts vendors for parts and service as necessary.
• Performs special projects or duties as assigned.
• Guidance and contacts specify the number of associates receiving day‑to‑day guidance/direction.

Shift

This position has a starting salary range of $25.35 to $34.20 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
