Job summary

10 Center for Disability Services in Albany, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support residents and staff by performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep across plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, electrical, grounds, and cleaning tasks.

Under supervision but with some autonomy, you will contribute to safety and comfort, handle snow removal when needed, and collaborate with a team to keep facilities functional and welcoming for the people we support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• New York State driver's license required.
• At least 1 year of relevant maintenance experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, electrical, grounds keeping, or related fields.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, service and repairs in preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, minor HVAC problems, electrical, grounds, cleaning, snow removal and vehicle/furniture moving.
• Provide labor, skills and expertise with a focus on safety, functionality and comfort of residents, participants, staff and visitors.
