10 Center for Disability Services in Albany, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support residents and staff by performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep across plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, electrical, grounds, and cleaning tasks.
Under supervision but with some autonomy, you will contribute to safety and comfort, handle snow removal when needed, and collaborate with a team to keep facilities functional and welcoming for the people we support.

The Maintenance Technician assists in service and repairs in preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, HVAC, electrical, grounds keeping, cleaning, and/or snow removal.
The Maintenance Technician is knowledgeable of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. They work under general supervision but a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Performs major maintenance projects, service and repairs in the areas of preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, minor HVAC problems, electrical, grounds, cleaning, snow removal, vehicle maintenance, furniture moving and other duties as assigned. Provide labor, skills and expertise, with a primary focus on quality workmanship, the safety, functionality and comfort of residents, participants, staff and visitors
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. NYS Drivers license in good standing At least 1 year of job related experience, specifically in preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, HVAC, electrical, grounds keeping, cleaning, and/or snow removal. In lieu of 1 year of experience, successful completion of a building related trade and/or technical program will be accepted Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Compensation Range: $20.90 - $24.20
