Job summary

Kane Realty Corporation in Durham, NC is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance across residential properties. The role involves electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, and HVAC system care.

The technician will make ready units for move-ins, handle 24-hour emergency maintenance coverage, and assist with grounds and pool maintenance. A High School diploma and HVAC-CFC/CPO certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous maintenance experience in multi-family housing desired.
• HVAC Certification (CFC) and CPO preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment criminal history and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting tasks.
• Repair and repair/maintain showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and exteriors.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems.
• Provide 24 hour emergency maintenance coverage (pre-scheduled times).
• Ability to work some weekends.
• Perform preventative maintenance and grounds work (sweeping, light landscaping).
• Pool maintenance and coordination of special projects as directed by maintenance supervisor or property manager.

Maintenance Technician

Seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join Kane Realty Corporation, a Raleigh based company with significant growth potential. The Maintenance Technician will be part of a team responsible for the overall maintenance and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations.

Essential Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting


• Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors


• Make ready units for new move-ins


• Knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems


• Responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance (pre-scheduled times)


• Must be available to work some weekends


• Perform preventative maintenance activities


• Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping


• Pool maintenance


• Coordinate special projects as directed maintenance supervisor or property manager

Job Requirements

The Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees.

Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Must be able to have a strong attention to detail and handle multi-tasking throughout the day.

Education/Qualification
