Job summary

Kane Realty Corporation is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician in Durham, NC, to maintain and operate day-to-day property upkeep. The role includes electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks to keep units and common areas in excellent condition.

Responsibilities cover make-ready tasks for new residents, HVAC maintenance, and preventative work. The candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work some weekends and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• HVAC certification (CFC) and CPO are preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Experience in multi-family maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting tasks.
• Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, doors and exterior surfaces.
• Make ready units for new move-ins and perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain HVAC systems, perform repairs and replacements as needed.
• Provide 24 hour emergency maintenance and occasional weekend work.
• Handle grounds work and basic landscaping; assist with pool maintenance.
• Coordinate special projects with maintenance supervisor or property manager.

Maintenance Technician

Seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join Kane Realty Corporation, a Raleigh based company with significant growth potential. The Maintenance Technician will be part of a team responsible for the overall maintenance and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

• Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting
• Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors
• Make ready units for new move-ins
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems
• Responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance (pre-scheduled times)
• Must be available to work some weekends
• Perform preventative maintenance activities
• Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
• Pool maintenance
• Coordinate special projects as directed maintenance supervisor or property manager

Job Requirements

The Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees.

Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Must be able to have a strong attention to detail and handle multi-tasking throughout the day.

Education/Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous maintenance experience in multi-family housing.
• HVAC Certification (CFC certification) & CPO
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to pass pre-employment criminal history & drug screen.
