Job summary

Covia is seeking a Maintenance person in Hephzibah, GA to ensure safe and productive plant operation. You will maintain and repair process equipment, electrical systems, and buildings, coordinating with operations and contractors to meet daily goals.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, preferred vocational training, and experience as a mechanic or multi-craft technician. PLC experience is a plus; willingness to work overtime and wear PPE is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational training is preferred.
• Experience as a mechanic or multi-craft technician is mandatory.
• Electrical experience is preferred.
• PLC programming experience is a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and mining environment is a plus.
• Must be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and wear PPE as required.
• Experience using maintenance software and computers.

Responsibilities

• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Report malfunctions of equipment and deficiencies in processes.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Examine work orders and converse with operators to detect problems.
• Plan maintenance work with operations, contractors, and staff.
• Maintain inventory and prepare parts as needed.
• Backfill operations personnel when required and assist daily activities.
