Job summary

Georgia Tech Housing and Residence Life seeks a dedicated maintenance professional in Atlanta to perform multi-craft tasks, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work, and to maintain and repair building systems.

You will operate hand and power tools, transport equipment, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safe, reliable facilities for residents and staff. This role requires a high school diploma and 2–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.
• Two to three years of job-related experience.
• Ability to operate hand/power tools, motor vehicles (may include a forklift), and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment. A basic working knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair, and of building construction support and maintenance, is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic installation, repair, and replacement of components of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of buildings; inspect assigned buildings/related fixtures, mechanical equipment, machines, and other structural components.
• Transport tools, equipment, and personnel to and from the job site.
• Obtain equipment and supplies required to complete assignments.
• May coordinate contractor service delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
