Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a journey-level maintenance technician to perform mechanical, basic electrical, and control maintenance at a generation facility, ensuring reliable and safe operation. You will troubleshoot, repair, and construct equipment, operate tools, perform welding, log data, and support safety and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Journey level in the mechanical trade.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical, electrical, and instrument maintenance to support generation facility operation.
• Operates tools and devices to diagnose, repair, and log data for equipment.
• Uses machine tools and hand tools as needed; performs welding tasks as required.
• Maintains housekeeping and safety practices; participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Supports plant reliability, productivity, and efficiency efforts.
