Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Maintenance Technician in manufacturing
• Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics
• Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems; PLC/electrical repair preferred
• CMMS or EAM experience; intermediate MS Office skills
• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
• Follow safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Experience in paper/paperboard/packaging manufacturing is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and production equipment
• Assist with installation, calibration, and alignment of new equipment or automation systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize production disruptions
• Inspect, clean, and lubricate machinery; replace worn parts
• Prioritize and complete maintenance tasks per the work schedule
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency work orders
• Create, update, and close work orders in the maintenance system
• Track and manage parts and tools inventory
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance procedures
• Participate in team meetings and safety activities
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams

Back Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Manufacturing Misc/Other Spartanburg , South Carolina Professional Direct Hire Sep 21, 2026 HTI is assisting a global paper packaging manufacturer with their search for experienced Maintenance Technicians to join the team at the start-up facility in Spartanburg, SC!

• Pay range: $32.00 – $33.00 / hour, depending on experience and education
• Work hours: 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd shift available (Mon-Fri)
• Location: Spartanburg, SC
• These are direct hire, full-time roles

You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our production equipment. Your focus will be on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minimizing downtime to keep operations running efficiently. Requirements

• Must have 3+ years as of recent experience as a Maintenance Technician within the manufacturing industry, responsible for maintenance of production and packing machinery, conveyors, and other facility equipment
• Must have technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics
• Proven experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; PLC and electrical repair experience preferred
• CMMS or EAM experience; intermediate computer/MS Office skills
• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenanceskills
• A commitment tosafety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Good communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
• Experience in the paper, paperboard, cardboard or other packaging manufacturing industry is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities
