Job summary

HTI - Human Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Fountain Inn, SC. The role supports multiple electrical and mechanical systems on diverse production equipment and includes hands-on, multi-craft maintenance.

The position emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and safety, with a 2nd or 3rd shift, and a path to direct employment within six months or less.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience troubleshooting AC/DC motors, motor controls and drives.
• Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and documenting work in a CMMS.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, gearboxes, plastic extruders, and other production machinery.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, drives, PLC-controlled equipment, and industrial controls.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and work orders using the CMMS system.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and standard maintenance shop equipment.
• Assist with training less experienced maintenance technicians.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance activities with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and perform other maintenance-related duties as needed.
