Job summary

Maud Borup Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing floor. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and complete repairs to keep lines running smoothly.

The role requires reading manuals and schematics, using wrenches, drills, hoists, and testing equipment, and coordinating with contractors when outside help is needed. You will work in a clean, temperature-controlled environment and contribute to production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and facility areas.
• Complete mechanical and basic electrical repairs as needed.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery to replace defective parts.
• Use tools such as wrenches, drills, hoists, gauges, and testing equipment.
• Work with contractors and technicians for outside repair support.
• Support a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
• Assist cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and facility areas
• Complete mechanical and basic electrical repairs as needed
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery to remove and replace defective parts
• Utilize tools such as wrenches, drills, hoists, gauges, and testing equipment
• Work with contractors and technicians when outside repair support is required
• Follow SQF Food Safety standards and maintain accurate documentationSupport a safe, clean, and orderly work environment
• Assist cross-functional teams to achieve production goals

What You Bring

• Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience required
• High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred
• Experience with Preventative Maintenance
• Install Drives and program. Trouble shoot PLC/Automation systems. Complete all assigned Work Orders in a timely manner.
• Repair sinks, hoses, waterlines, toilets, and plumbing equipment.
• Complete all building repairs, maintain walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Skilled with mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment setup
• Welding/Fabrication experience is a plus
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and make good decisions
• Safety-conscious and reliable
• Ability to lift, bend, twist, use ladders, and stand for shift duration
