Job summary

Greystar in Cary, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities meet standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and support make-ready tasks.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver's license, OSHA safety compliance, and ability to work on-call. You will help manage inventories, coordinate with vendors, and maintain property operations in all

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant handling certifications (Type 1/II or Universal) are required.
• Driver's license is required to operate on-site vehicles and golf carts.
• State or local certifications as required for service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Executes make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and punch lists.
• Manages materials, tools, and inventory with documentation and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and minor repairs.
• Supports cost control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
• Participates in safety meetings and quality inspections of contractor work.
