Weinstein Properties in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Make Ready to join our on-site team. This full-time role includes making ready vacant units, addressing work orders, and maintaining grounds and community amenities to ensure a pristine living environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of maintenance experience, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) is a plus.
• No HVAC certification required if you are willing to train and work toward certification.
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work.

Responsibilities

• Complete turn/make ready process of vacant apartments.
• Assist team with maintenance work orders as needed.
• Work with the team to maintain property grounds on a daily basis.
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.

What We Offer Our Maintenance Technicians

• Pay: starting at $19/hour | $20/hour (if you are or when you become EPA certified)
• On-call pay:
  • $150/week (calls or no calls)
  • Additional $150 per holiday on-call

Maintenance Technician - Make Ready Schedule

• Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team

What You’ll Be Doing as a Maintenance Technician

• Complete turn/make ready process of vacant apartments

• Work with the team to maintain property grounds on a daily basis
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

What We’re Looking For In Our Maintenance Technicians

• At least 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• No HVACcertification required if you are willing to train and work towards getting certified
• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and hands-on HVAC troubleshooting / repair experience is a plus!
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks

Physical & Technical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician

• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Background check required
