Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ years of repairing/maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience specifically with presses and mills.
• Experience with welding and minor repairs/adjustments.
• Understanding of single and 3-phase power requirements.
• Machinery electrical requirements understanding.
• Hydraulic systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of PLCs, basic function and operation.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure accuracy.
• Demonstrates teamwork, accountability and punctuality.
• Proficient in reading/writing; basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook).
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods; lift 25–50 lbs and co-lift 50–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
• Communicate daily with your direct supervisor regarding assignments and machine status.
• Provide regular updates on machine conditions and maintenance progress.
• Inspect A/C motors, gearboxes, presses, resistance welders, and other equipment.
• Support changeover process for welders, mills, and related machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines.
• Suggest improvements to the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Provide timely updates to avoid major downtime.
• Replace worn parts and fluids as needed.
• Test and adjust components to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
• Identify critical spares and consumable parts to purchase.
• Conduct regular inspections following SOPs and instructions.
• Consult manuals and seek clarification when necessary.
• Monitor production line efficiency and coordinate with operations.
• Respond to maintenance leadership requests promptly.
• Prepare reports and updates for leadership and management.
• Share insights related to machine performance and maintenance.
• Collaborate with leadership to align tasks with skillset.
• Report progress on assigned tasks.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• General maintenance on buildings as assigned.
• Basic understanding of Human Machine Interface (HMI) troubleshooting.
• Operate material handling equipment including propane forklifts.
• Maintain 5S-compliant workspace cleanliness.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Assist on-the-job training for team members.
• Act as a team player; provide guidance to colleagues.
• Support in all areas as needed by supervisor.
