Job summary

Haydon Corporation in Stow, Ohio is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift (1:00 PM–9:30 PM). This full-time role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting industrial machinery to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems, performing preventive maintenance, inspecting motors, gearboxes, presses, welders, and other equipment; supporting machine changeovers; and keeping accurate repair records.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of repairing/maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with presses and mills.
• Welding and minor repairs/adjustments.
• Reading and understanding of single and 3 phase power requirements.
• Ability to stand for long periods; lift up to 25-50 lbs. and co-lift up to 50-100 lbs.
• Bilingual – Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
• Communicate with supervisor about assignments and machine status.
• Provide updates on machine conditions and maintenance progress.
• Inspect equipment such as A/C motors, gearboxes, presses, and welders.
• Support changeover processes and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
