Job summary

Haydon-Corporation in Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd shift (1:00 PM–9:30 PM) to diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment. You will inspect motors, gearboxes, presses, and welders, support changeovers, and perform preventive maintenance while keeping precise records and ensuring safety.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in manufacturing maintenance, experience with presses/mills, welding, hydraulic systems, and basic PLC knowledge.

Qualifications

• 6+ years repairing/maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with presses and mills.
• Experience with welding and making minor repairs.
• Understanding of single and 3 phase power requirements.
• Understanding of machinery electrical systems.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of PLCs (basic).
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy.
• Strong teamwork, accountability and punctuality.
• Able to read and write; basic computer skills (Excel/Outlook).
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on production equipment.
• Communicate status updates to maintenance leadership.
• Inspect motors, gearboxes, presses and welders.
• Support changeovers for welders, mills and presses.
• Perform preventive maintenance and update schedules.
• Replace worn parts and fluids; test components.
• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance.
• Identify critical spares and consumables.
• Follow SOPs; ensure safe operation of machines.
• Collaborate with operations to minimize downtime.
• Provide on-the-job training support as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment safely.
