Job summary

The Peninsula Regent in San Mateo, CA is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to keep buildings, equipment, and common spaces in excellent condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to requests, and ensure safety and quality in all tasks.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of maintenance experience, hands-on skills with electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance systems.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain workmanship quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and minor improvements to building systems, resident apartments, and common areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency calls while providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Support community safety efforts by following established procedures and assisting during emergency situations when needed.
