Job summary

The Peninsula Regent in San Mateo, California, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to service and maintain building systems, resident apartments, and common areas.

You will troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems and general building equipment, respond to work orders and emergencies promptly, and keep tools and work areas clean and safe while delivering outstanding service to residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in building maintenance, construction, facilities, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and minor improvements to building systems, resident apartments, and common areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency calls while providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Support community safety efforts by following established procedures and assisting during emergency situations when needed.
