Job summary

Wallick Senior Living in Toledo is seeking a Maintenance Director/Lead to manage day-to-day maintenance and the community’s physical environment. You will handle work orders, landscaping duties, and keep HVAC and fixtures functioning to ensure resident comfort.

The role requires 1+ years in supervision and 2+ years in maintenance (preferably in a senior living setting), plus strong customer service, MS Office proficiency, and power-tool skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a supervisory role.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience, ideally in a Senior Living setting.
• Proficient in customer service.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge and experience with the use of power tools.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, residents and family members.
• Ability to apply basic math skills.
• Make routine decisions requiring minimal judgment which may affect internal department.

Responsibilities

• Complete building work orders and service requests as assigned.
• Paint and assist with the upkeep of the grounds including landscaping.
• Reports all mechanical failure or negative conditions as observed in assigned area to Maintenance Director.
• Fix fixtures, heating/cooling units, etc.
• Maintain maintenance equipment.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance functions for the community to include carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical & HVAC.
• Maintain the physical appearance of the community.

The work - How you will contribute:
