Job summary

BD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep manufacturing equipment operating safely, efficiently and reliably. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment while collaborating with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to meet production goals.

The position requires 1–4 years of experience with industrial equipment, basic mechanical and electrical skills, and a commitment to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Able to perform preventive and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment issues
• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Repair and replace machine components to minimize downtime
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and production support
• Perform equipment adjustments, testing, and fine-tuning to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Support preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement
• Train operators on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting
• Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities
• Help drive equipment reliability and production performance
