Job summary

Mercy Housing in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers on-site. You will help keep living spaces clean and provide dependable resident service.

Requires basic building maintenance knowledge and a valid driver's license. You must read, write, and do basic math; compensation is $21-$23 per hour with comprehensive benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic building maintenance is required through training or experience.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).
• Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner; cleans up after completion.
• Performs repairs on the property (painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
• Cleans apartments during turnover as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

The successful Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers. As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer service.

This is an on-site position.

Pay: $21-23/hour, depending on experience.

Duties

• Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Cleans up after work is complete.
• Performs repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical.
• Cleans apartments during turnover process, as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year in skilled maintenance work.
• Technical training in one or more building trades preferred.
