Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain plastic molding machinery and related equipment in our Indiana manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include changing over plates, inspecting controls, and ensuring safety compliance under Lockout/Tagout and 5S standards.

Qualifications

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret documents such as procedures manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams.
Good troubleshooting skills.
Basic mathematical skills for arithmetic operations.

Responsibilities

Follow all work instructions and safety policies, including PPE usage.
Install plate changeovers and start-up machines for production needs.
Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment.
Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts like bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches.
Observe and diagnose issues by listening to machinery in operation.
Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
Lubricate and clean machinery to maintain housekeeping and maintenance standards.
Document changeover times and record-keeping for maintenance events.
