Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Injection Mold Maintenance Technician for our facility in Buffalo Grove, IL. This contract-to-hire role focuses on maintaining and repairing injection molding machines in a clean, climate-controlled environment, with 12-hour day/night rotations and a 10% shift premium.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support machine startups, changeovers, and production operations as part of a high-tech

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond to machine alarms and identify root causes of failures.
• Repair and maintain robotic and automated manufacturing systems.
• Perform TPM activities and scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Repair and maintain assembly, packaging, and auxiliary equipment.
• Upload and restore machine programs as needed.
• Document maintenance activities and complete work orders.
• Support machine startups, changeovers, and production operations.
• Follow GMP, safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

A growing medical manufacturing facility is hiring Injection Mold Maintenance Technicians to support production operations in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.

This is a long-term opportunity for individuals with injection molding maintenance experience who are looking to grow their technical skills, earn competitive pay, and work with advanced molding equipment, robotics, and automation systems.

Schedule

Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

+10% Shift Differential

Rotating 12-hour schedule with built-in weekdays off throughout the month while maintaining full-time hours.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Injection molding maintenance experience
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
• Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience
• Machine setup, changeover, or process troubleshooting experience
• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour schedule

Preferred:

• Robotics or automation experience
• Blueprint and schematic reading
• GMP or regulated manufacturing experience
• Preventive maintenance experience
• SAP or CMMS experience
• LOTO knowledge

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
