Job summary

Alleguard in Monticello, AR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair building machines and systems. The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

The position pays $20 USD hourly with a Monday–Friday schedule. Responsibilities include repairing equipment, wiring, and plumbing components, ordering parts, and following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.).
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
• Computer savvy; Information Technology training a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma; vocational training is a plus.
• Professional Certifications (e. CMRP or HVAC) preferred

Responsibilities

• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, buildings systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of the buildings does not deteriorate.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
• Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.
• Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.
• Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities.
• Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned
