Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee the upkeep and repair of production equipment and electrical components. This role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and ensuring machinery operates at peak performance on the production floor.

The position requires a minimum of 5 years in maintenance, with a high school diploma or GED and preferred technical certifications. PPE is provided, and the environment may be dusty, hot, or cold.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational school certification preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Work in dusty, hot and/or cold conditions with PPE provided.

Responsibilities

• Replace, install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair production equipment and electrical components.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrections.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts; check fluids; replace filters per checklists.
• Replace faulty parts, wires, motors, and circuit boards.
• Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective parts.
• Lubricate and clean parts to ensure proper operation.
• Operate hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals.
