Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to manage the upkeep and repair of production equipment and electrical systems on site. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure machines run at peak efficiency.

Candidates should have at least five years in maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant certifications. Ability to read technical documents and work in a manufacturing setting is required, with PPE provided by the company.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational school certification preferred.
• Ability to read safety procedures and maintenance instructions.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and electrical principles.

Responsibilities

• Replace, install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair production equipment and electrical components.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and correct them.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines operating optimally.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, and filters per checklists.
• Replace faulty parts, wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards.
• Disassemble equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
• Lubricate and clean parts to ensure proper operation.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut or replace parts.
• Read blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Operate production machines to understand capabilities and troubleshoot.
