Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of sewing machines, RF welders, and production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production issues.
  • Install, test, and adjust machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
  • Assist with facility maintenance as needed.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Cut & Sew Manufacturing)
Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment in a fast-paced cut & sew manufacturing facility. This role supports operational efficiency by ensuring all machinery—including sewing machines, RF welders, lathes, mills, and associated equipment—operates safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial sewing machines, RF welders, and production equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production issues
  • Install, test, and adjust machinery and equipment as needed
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies
  • Assist with facility maintenance as needed
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred)
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems (wiring, motors, controls)
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 - 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a machine shop, cut & sew, or textile manufacturing environment
  • Hands‑on experience with industrial sewing machines and RF welding equipment
  • Background in a machine shop or fabrication environment
  • Experience with PLCs and automated systems
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
Work Environment
  • Industrial manufacturing setting (cut & sew production floor)
  • Exposure to moving machinery, fabrics, and production materials
