Job summary

MSA Safety is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to service industrial machinery, sewing equipment, and facility systems to keep operations safe and productive. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems while supporting changeovers and upgrades in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading schematics, working with a CMMS, and collaborating across teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance and knowledge in electrical systems, industrial controls/PLC’s, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work with mechanical and facility systems.
• Experience with sewing machine repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, sewing machines, equipment, and all facility systems ensuring proper and safe operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
• Maintain and repair facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Perform setups and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
• Respond promptly to inoperable production and facility equipment and report any potentially hazardous situations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and potential failures, ensuring timely intervention.
• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
• Utilize and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in a CMMS.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe secure work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions.
• Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
