Location: Ocnwc - Oconomowoc, WI

Position Type: Full Time

Shift: 1st shift (M-F 7a-3:30p)

Job Summary:

Performs general maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, machinery and equipment, heating and plumbing systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs general maintenance and preventive maintenance on shop equipment.
• Interprets maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications for repair and troubleshooting.
• Uses testing devices; disassembles, repairs, replaces parts, and reassembles equipment.
• Performs basic fabrication, assembly, and facility upkeep.
• Refers complex maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Maintains heating, cooling, and ventilating systems.
• Runs and drops wiring and piping for plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Assists with moving, relocation, and installation of equipment.
• Places purchase requisitions for parts or supplies.
• Handles hazardous materials following safety procedures.
• Follows lockout/tagout procedures and safety policies.
• Completes documentation accurately and meets attendance policies.
• Contributes to team efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Two-year technical degree with 1-3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination.

Language Skills: Ability to read English, interpret safety and maintenance instructions, and communicate effectively.

Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
