Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely performing maintenance activities, including repairing, modifying, servicing, and restoring machinery and equipment. This role involves completing preventive maintenance, performing assembly, fabrication, or installation activities, and working cross-functionally to ensure efficient operations and high-quality output. The technician will focus on machinery such as injection molding and compression molding equipment. This is a second shift position, 6PM-6AM (+ shift differential).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Monitor, inspect, and service equipment, including mechanical and electrical components.
2. Troubleshoot, repair, and restore machinery.
3. Perform preventive maintenance and maintain maintenance records.
4. Conduct building and facilities repairs.
5. Diagnose problems quickly to minimize downtime.
6. Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools.
7. Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies.
8. Repair auxiliary equipment such as chillers, thermolators, loaders, grinders, and fans.
9. Maintain a safe and clean working environment following safety protocols.

Requirements

1. Previous relevant experience in machinery maintenance.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
4. At least 2 years of experience with manufacturing machinery.
5. Experience with injection machines and preventative maintenance.
6. Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.
7. Ability to read technical prints and diagrams.
8. Welding skills; machining skills are a plus.
9. Availability for after-hours calls.
10. Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic repairs, compression mold maintenance, and PLC troubleshooting is preferred.
11. Team-oriented with good communication skills.
