Job description

Location: Forest Park, GA

Pay: $25.27-35/hr

Hours: M-F 7AM-3:30PM + rotating on call

A growing industrial manufacturing facility in Forest Park, GA is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join its high-performing operations team. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining mechanical systems, utility equipment, and supporting safe, efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain equipment including:
  • Pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement, air diaphragm)
  • Vessels, exchangers, piping, valves, motors, agitators
  • Boilers, hot oil heaters, air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, and blowers
  • Perform pump alignment, piping installation/modification
  • Use industrial tools (hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment)
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and daily work orders
  • Inspect and troubleshoot critical systems and recommend solutions
  • Support mechanical reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with motor wiring and pneumatic valve installations
  • Participate in PSM, PHA, and ISO compliance activities
  • Maintain a safe workspace and follow OSHA, LOTO, confined space, and height safety standards
  • Serve on the Safety Committee
  • Participate in rotating on-call maintenance schedule

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Experience in industrial or chemical manufacturing maintenance (preferred)
  • Experience with CMMS systems (preferred)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
  • Proficiency with liquid handling systems and various types of pumps
  • Intermediate electrical knowledge for installations, repairs, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with steam, air, nitrogen, water, and hot oil systems (preferred)
  • Pipefitting or welding experience (preferred)
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
  • Comfortable working at heights, lifting up to 60 lbs, and climbing ladders
  • Self-driven with good teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to work overtime and be part of an on-call rotation
  • Natural gas burner familiarity a plus
