Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and ensuring that production lines operate smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery, such as conveyors, packaging machines, motors, pumps, and other mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, inspection, and replacement of parts to prevent equipment failures.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems including control panels, wiring, motors, and other components.
  • Work with PLC-controlled machinery to troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with production teams to understand equipment issues and prioritize maintenance tasks accordingly.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Document maintenance activities, including completed repairs, parts used, and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment as required.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safety during maintenance operations.
  • Stay updated on best practices for machine maintenance and safety regulations, participating in continuous training and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications or an Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field .
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing PLC systems and automated machinery.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and regulations, including LOTO procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with welding, machining, or fabrication is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or related technical fields.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking maintenance activities.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or food processing environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
