Job summary

GEO Secured Services seeks a maintenance specialist to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance in a secured facility. You will operate equipment, inspect work, and supervise detainee maintenance staff while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to handle plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and electrical repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years general maintenance or related construction.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
• Survey assigned jobs and ensure materials and tools are on hand.
• Direct and inspect detainee maintenance staff, providing technical supervision.
• Perform carpentry to repair doors, windows, walls, flooring, roofing.
• Carry out plumbing, HVAC repairs incl. furnaces, ducts, piping and fittings.
• Repair electrical fixtures and wiring.
• Execute minor construction like shelves and workbenches.
• Maintain facility machinery, motors, and vehicles; assist in detainee security.
