Job summary

The LEGO Group in Richmond, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to lead advanced troubleshooting and support continuous improvement. You will guide changeovers, startups, and line optimization, while driving preventive maintenance and safety across production lines.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems, and mentoring capabilities for junior technicians. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues independently.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills using structured methods (RCA, PDCA, or similar).
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor and support team development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and reliable operation of production and packaging equipment.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
• Lead diagnosis of complex equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Execute and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Support and lead equipment changeovers, startups, and line optimization efforts.
• Analyze equipment performance, identify recurring issues, and drive improvements.
• Lead and participate in structured problem-solving (RCA, PDCA) to reduce downtime.
• Document maintenance work, root causes, and corrective actions in CMMS.
