Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for the Atrium Health Kings Mountain facility in Kings Mountain, NC. The role is full time with a rotating on-call schedule, nights and weekends as needed, and 40 hours per week on 1st shift.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, complex troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring patient care equipment is properly maintained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Driver's license required.
• Certification and/or additional training in a relevant skill or equipment may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance per codes and CMMS documentation.
• Maintains, repairs and troubleshoots mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, controls).
• Maintains patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Maintains mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, piping, electrical, plumbing, gas systems).
• Performs preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, etc.).
• Reads blueprints and manuals to complete assignments.
