Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aircraft engines and propulsion systems, is seeking an onsite maintenance technician in Asheville, NC. The role involves installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing plant machinery to manufacturer specifications, with travel up to 10% for equipment manufacturers and training.

You will read blueprints and P&IDs, develop preventive maintenance tasks, and document work in SAP CMMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
• Technical aptitude with 2+ years experience as a multi‑craft technician in basic mechanics, rigging, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, electrical, automation, and PLC/CNCs.
• Ability to lift up, push, pull, bend, squat, stand, climb, and twist hands
• Ability to work in a confined space

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul plant machinery and equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Read and interpret regulations, blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, service manuals, and process sheets.
• Develop preventive maintenance tasks and recommend changes to improve service level.
• Coordinate contractors, timelines, materials, fabrication, and project implementation.
