Job summary

Veolia North America is hiring an experienced maintenance technician in Cranston, RI to inspect, repair, and install electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.

The role requires a four-year on-the-job background in electrician/instrumentation work, a valid Electrical Journeyman's license, and strong skills in reading blueprints, safety, and PLC/SCADA programs. Expect a safety-first, hands-on environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Electrical Journeyman's License required; other licensed trades considered based on facility needs.
• Four years of on-the-job electrician/instrumentation experience and safe-work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems using testing devices and tools.
• Install or replace electrical systems and fixtures; calibrate instrumentation and valves as needed.
• Program VFDs and tune controllers, valves, and actuators.
• Pull data from PLCs/SCADA and diagnose communication issues; update I/O modules and PLCs.
