Our services include healthcare laundry and sterilized reusable surgical solutions, serving all healthcare markets. Job Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician I for our soon-to-open St. Louis Healthcare Laundry facility. The ideal candidate is decisive, quick-thinking, and communicative. If you are committed to performance and continuous improvement, we want to hear from you!

The Maintenance Technician I will handle repairs, adjustments, overhauls, and preventive maintenance on laundry and boiler room equipment. Must troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues swiftly and accurately, and perform plumbing, carpentry, welding, or electrical tasks as needed.

The Successful Candidate

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Perform essential duties meeting work standards with or without accommodations
  • Troubleshoot automated industrial equipment
  • Assist in training maintenance staff
  • Install and maintain equipment
  • Perform building maintenance and repairs
  • Implement a strong preventative maintenance program
  • Support safety, utility reduction, and waste management initiatives
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and assign work orders
  • Learn responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor for potential promotion
  • Use industrial maintenance knowledge to repair, modify, or fabricate parts
  • Analyze equipment to determine repairs needed
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Install utility lines, including soldering and electrical work
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
  • Complete safety training and record all work properly
  • Organize and follow through on projects
  • Use proper PPE and adhere to safety policies

Additional Duties:

  • Assist with other tasks as assigned
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Be available to work seven days a week and respond to calls
  • Record work in a timely manner
  • Maintain parts inventory
Job Requirements
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic skills
  • Experience with boiler maintenance
  • Leadership ability in maintenance teams
  • Good communication skills
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent plus two years related experience
  • Plumbing and welding skills
  • Own tools necessary for the job
  • Proper PPE and safety training
