Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician III in Prairie Du Chien, WI for a contract-to-hire role. You will perform PMs on conveyors and material-handling systems, diagnose mechanical failures, and troubleshoot electrical/control issues, documenting activities in CMMS. Shift is 3rd, Thursday-Saturday, 5pm-5:30am with a $1.50 premium.

Requirements include 4+ years of industrial maintenance, strong pneumatic/hydraulic and PLC/electrical skills, and solid communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and preventive maintenance.
• Strong PLC and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform full preventive maintenance, critical parts replacement, and reliability efforts.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures by replacing motors, belts, and gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control issues using schematics and meters.
• Interpret PLC programs and work with industrial networks like ControlNet and DeviceNet.
• Create, modify, and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders and track equipment history.
• Maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
• Assist lower-level technicians and collaborate across departments.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician III

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician III, you will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on various material handling systems, including conveyors, automated rollers, and pneumatic sorters. Your role will involve diagnosing mechanical failures, troubleshooting electrical and control issues, and utilizing CMMS software to document maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform full preventive maintenance (PMs), critical parts replacement, and system reliability efforts.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures by changing motors, replacing belts, and servicing gearboxes, bearings, and pulleys.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related issues using schematics, manuals, and digital multimeters.
• Interpret PLC programs, connect to PLC processors for troubleshooting, and work with industrial networks such as ControlNet and DeviceNet.
• Create, modify, and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Utilize CMMS software to manage work orders and track equipment history.
• Support a safe and compliant work environment.
• Assist lower-level technicians and collaborate across departments.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic environment on the 3rd shift from Thursday to Saturday, 5 pm to 5:30 am, with a shift premium of $1.50. The role involves regular walking, sitting, standing, computer work, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Please note that the work environment is non-climate controlled.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prairie Du Chien, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
