Job Description

Position Summary: Performs activities engaged in building, setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining injection molding machinery and equipment. Able to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, hydraulic, and PLC issues.

Primary Accountabilities:

1. Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of injection molding press machinery and equipment.
2. Dismantle, assemble, and install industrial machinery.
3. Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on high and low voltage power systems, AC/DC drives, microprocessors, relay logic, and control wiring.
4. Replace defective parts, install functional and structural parts, lubricate, and clean components.
5. Maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts.
6. Read, troubleshoot, and create PLC logic; read blueprints and schematics.
7. Train employees on safe repair methods following company protocols.
8. Participate in plant safety activities and continuous improvement projects.
9. Assist with general building maintenance as needed.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prefer an Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications: Certified Maintenance Professional or similar preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming, reading electrical drawings, and industry-specific equipment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; steel fabrication and MIG welding experience preferred.

Additional Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for prolonged periods, walk long distances, work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Work in hot or cold conditions, around heavy machinery, and at various heights.

This role is a full-time, mid-senior level position in management and manufacturing industries, based in Lees Summit, MO, with a salary range of $26.00-$37.00 per hour.
