Job description

Responsibilities

Repairs, maintains, and operates HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as performs routine maintenance with limited to no supervision.

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs assigned tasks according to the requirements of their particular craft or trade.
2. Participates in training programs including personal development, safety education, and technical advancement, and maintains a professional attitude towards development.
3. Operates project HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, air handler units, and computerized environmental control systems under the direction of the leader.
4. Maintains project HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, air handler units, and computerized environmental control systems under the direction of the leader.
5. Operates, maintains, and participates in testing project life/safety systems including emergency power, sprinkler, fire alarm, and medical alarm systems.
6. Responds to tenant house call needs promptly, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and miscellaneous requests, maintaining an accurate log.
7. Analyzes special projects presented by property management and leadership, such as tenant construction, cost-saving proposals, and manpower development needs.
8. May be required to work extended hours in case of an emergency.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Trade school graduate or eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Four (4) years of related maintenance experience.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training:

• Ability to correctly use chemicals, supplies, and tools assigned.
• Ability to work effectively with the public and other employees.
• Computer literate.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physical abilities such as lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, and squatting.
