Job description

We’re searching for a Maintenance Technician III -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of facility equipment across various trades including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube systems, painting, carpentry, and related systems, in accordance with departmental, hospital, and regulatory codes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for multiple systems and equipment to ensure safety and operational reliability, following management standards. Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Repair failed equipment within established standards and timeframes.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues for various systems and equipment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
3. Show technical proficiency with multiple pieces of equipment and systems, including basic electrical knowledge and meter usage. Understand fire safety protocols, such as fire extinguisher types and usage.
4. Maintain good rapport and cooperative relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring effective communication and minimizing customer impact.
5. Create and process purchase orders; manage inventory for assigned crafts, ensuring proper labeling, orderliness, and stock levels.
6. Exhibit positive leadership and guidance to team members.

All successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing to comply with occupational health and safety standards.
